The head of state made a trip to speak to national troops in the Donetsk region on the start of the week. He stated that he engaged with soldiers at the military base of the first unit of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya sector, a location approximately 20km from the focal point.

Volatile Circumstances in the Region

Updated analysis from a Ukrainian project showed that opposition armies had made gains into the city and surrounding areas, though a large portion remained beyond firm control by any party. The status is precarious, with accounts indicating that invading units were digging in and strengthening posts in some districts.
