I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
